Crocus-like flowers with white petals and orange stamens face skyward at the ends of stalks growing from tufts of narrow, grassy leaves. Blooms begin appearing at mid-summer and continue opening intermittently until first frost. Best planted in sunny spots with well-drained but moisture-retentive soil.
